A new Trivium song has ‘leaked’ online from their as yet untitled fifth album. The track ‘In Waves’ can be heard below. The new album will be the first to feature new drummer, Nick Augusto, formerly of Maruta.
The song nods to a continuation from the sound that was prevalent on Shogun, with more emphasis on the screamed vocals but also that all-important hooky chorus, the backbone of a band like Trivium. The album was produced and mixed by Colin Richardson, which is why the production is supreme, unsurprisingly. No album release date has been confirmed but a June or July release is expected.
